A missing individual from Illinois was discovered deceased in Michigan City over the weekend.
According to the police, they were notified of a body in the water near 1 Heisman Harbor Road shortly after 7:30 a.m. on Sunday.
Jimmy Godoy, 42, of Cicero, Illinois, was identified as the individual whose body was recovered from the water.
On October 13, Godoy traveled to Michigan City with family members to conduct purchasing activities, as per the police. He informed his family at approximately 3 p.m. that he intended to walk to a different establishment.
According to the police, Godoy was unable to be located after departing the retail complex and was reported missing to them the following afternoon.
