After a fire broke out in Aitkin County on Monday, authorities discovered the remains.
Authorities in northern Minnesota are currently investigating the discovery of human remains in Aitkin County. The circumstances surrounding the finding remain unclear at this time.
The Aitkin County Sheriff’s Office received a report about a camper and vehicle that had burned overnight at a residence in Shamrock Township. Deputies were dispatched to investigate the incident.
The authorities discovered a body inside the camper, and the remains were subsequently sent to the Ramey County Medical Examiner’s Office for identification.
The sheriff’s officials have not provided any additional information regarding the incident. However, they have sought assistance from the State Fire Marshal in conducting the investigation, which is currently pending the results of the autopsy.
